June has been a busy month! Right on the heels of our last release Indie comes Iron Fist–chocked full of all sorts of goodness:
You can now choose to allow some OTAs to collect payment for you (i.e. Expedia Collect), or choose to process OTA bookings yourself (i.e., Hotel Collect). You can configure these settings from the Reservation Sources page.
You can now set up unique tax configurations for each OTA or 3rd-party marketplace you connect to. You will need to set these up manually for each source from the Reservation Sources page. (Knowledge base article)
New bookings can now be auto-assigned to available rooms, saving you time. This option is disabled by default. You can enable this feature on the “General Property Settings” page. (Knowledge base article)
The booking engine for mygroup customers looks better, and is now mobile responsive.
Properties that have payment processing enabled can now schedule payment processing. This is useful for properties that have cancellation policies that require notification days in advance. Pending transactions can now be filtered in the folio by the “pending” label. We created a new report called “Scheduled Payments”, where you can view and manage all scheduled payments. (knowledge base article)
Credit card numbers are now password protected, even for logged in users. Credit card numbers now display partially blocked with the last four digits visible. To see the full credit card number, you may click the “view credit card details” button, and input your password for each credit card. The full card number will be visible for five minutes or until closed. After that, you must input a password again. (knowledge base article)
Months now clearly appear above days when in the calendar view.
Emails to guests that are generated by the platform will no longer be sent from “firstname.lastname@example.org”. They will now be sent from the property’s email address listed on the “Property Profile” page. (knowledge base article)
We renamed the “Language, Date, Time, Currency” page to “General Property Settings”.
We published a variety of other UI improvements.
We published a new email template for Expedia Collect bookings that more appropriately conforms to their terms of service. (knowledge base article)
We published a new “custom payment” method, which allows you to accept payments in any way you customize on a per-property basis. (knowledge base article)
We created a new report called “Room assignments report”. This report shows you which guests are assigned to what rooms. You can find this report under the “Daily Activity Reports” section. (knowledge base article)
We created a new report called the “Notes Report”. Use this report to generate notes about guests or reservations. The report allows you to filter notes by a variety of qualifications, including whether or not the guest is in-house, by a specified date range, and more. Find this new report in the Daily Activity Reports section. (knowledge base article)
