Las Alamandas is an award-winning 18-suite property located between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo along the Costalegre Coast. It sits on over 2,000 acres of unspoiled nature reserves, with four private beaches and lush tropical gardens scattered throughout the property. It has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Hideways in the World by Andrew Harpers and has won the Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award 6 years in a row.

On-premise PMS caused hours of manual work

Before Cloudbeds, Las Alamandas used an on-premise property management system (PMS) that slowed operations and required hours of manual work to access data and update rates and availability across online travel agencies (OTA).

Víctor López, Director of Sales at Las Alamandas, often had to call his front desk staff to enter new reservations, confirm sales, and view information as their PMS could only be accessed on-site and by two users at a time.

This manual effort caused a lot of frustration for the Las Alamandas team and prompted the search for a new PMS. Cloudbeds stood out as a winner due to the cloud-based functionality that provided tremendous time savings and convenience.

Las Alamandas utilizes Cloudbeds Channel Manager to manage rates and availability across Booking.com and Expedia. Victor no longer has to jump between systems to update information manually; instead, he can manage everything in one place and trusts that his data is always in sync across platforms.

Due to the control Victor now has over availability and pricing across all channels, Las Alamandas has increased their average daily rate from $200-$300 USD a night to $400-$600 USD a night – a 50% increase!

Victor alone now saves 10 hours of work per week and is looking at adding additional OTAs – something that would have been extremely difficult before Cloudbeds.

Automation frees up time to spend curating experiences

In addition to optimizing their presence on OTAs, Las Alamandas has also implemented Cloudbeds Booking Engine for Google Hotel Search.
