We’re Changing Our Credit Card Retention Policy

Cloudbeds prides itself on staying ahead of industry, technology, and security trends. Our product and compliance teams work closely with all PCI compliance parties, standards and payment industry regulations to go beyond best practice in data security. As part of this commitment, we’ve decided to proactively increase important security measures around credit card storage.

Next week, we’re releasing a security update to keep your guests’ data even more secure. Currently, myfrontdesk uses a PCI DSS secure data vault to store all of your guests’ credit card data, regardless of when the guest checked out. While data is stored in the highest grade security vaults, the information remains accessible on request by your users.

After next week’s update, we will only make accessible the credit card data from guests who have checked out less than two weeks from the current date. After two weeks, your guests’ credit card information will be purged from the system and our data vaults.
