As a Senior Localization Specialist, you'll closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Customer Support, and Marketing, driving key strategic initiatives and ensuring that all localization efforts align with overarching business goals. The Senior Localization Specialist will work independently and partner with other members of the Training & Enablement team to localize and maintain all technical content, product localization, training resources, marketing materials, and customer-facing communications related to our products and services. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Manage interactions with Localization partners, ensuring the platform is accurately localized within the expected timeframe
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure the seamless implementation of localized content, advocating for the team's best practices and workload
  • Provide mentorship with junior team members, guiding them in complex linguistic challenges
  • Lead the development and, maintenance of the Glossary, Style Guide and Brand Voice guides to ensure consistency across translators and platforms
  • Partner with team members to define, develop, and implement best practices for all localization efforts 
  • Own the localization of all content in Portuguese and continuous audit of all internally and externally localized content to ensure accuracy, consistency. 
  • Prioritize localization efforts according to business needs, proactively identifying and communicating when adjustments to expected timeframes and completion are needed
  • Bring about continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for improvement in the localized content and processes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and rigorous quality checks on Localized content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Address discrepancies and inconsistencies promptly.
  • Localize marketing materials to communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to global markets.
  • Stay informed about global market trends, linguistic preferences, and cultural nuances to inform localization strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members, including mentoring Associate Localization Specialists and Localization Specialists, providing guidance to ensure consistent and high-quality localization output.

You’ll Succeed With: 

  • Proficiency in Portuguese, ensuring accurate translation and cultural adaptation.
  • Understanding of technical terminology and concepts related to the SaaS industry to effectively translate technical content.
  • Strong translation and localization skills, emphasizing maintaining accuracy, consistency, and context relevance.
  • A keen eye for detail to catch nuances in language and ensure high-quality translations that meet industry standards.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, especially when dealing with tight deadlines for content localization.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to learn new technologies, localization tools, best practices and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Proficient project management and communication skills to effectively address inquiries and provide updates on localization progress.
  • Experience with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools to enhance efficiency and consistency in the translation process.
