Thailand

Inspired by the Arowana fish — a symbol of prosperity and strength — Arawana Group is redefining value-driven hospitality. With a growing collection of eleven hotels and residences across Thailand, the brand offers smart, affordable stays designed for modern travelers who want comfort, convenience, and connection in key locations.

Each property is built around one simple promise: to deliver quality experiences at great value. From digital check-ins and seamless booking to clean, contemporary rooms and friendly service, Arawana Group makes travel easy for business guests, families, and urban explorers alike.

Tech built for yesterday

Arawana’s biggest initial hurdle was the very thing meant to support them: their property management systems. Many of the older properties they acquired were running on legacy, on-site servers.

“They didn’t suit what we required during the pandemic,” says Founder & CEO Manmeet Singh Thakralbutra. “With more remote working requirements, we needed a way to access all our data as well as assist with every part of the operation from anywhere. We decided that we needed to move from a legacy-based PMS to a cloud-based PMS system, ASAP.”

A smarter way forward

The group knew every system had its pros and cons, but they were looking for a strong core product with the flexibility to grow. Cloudbeds stood out for two critical reasons: its robust marketplace and its human touch.

“Cloudbeds has its marketplace, and that was something that appealed to us,” Manmeet notes. “Anything that we felt we needed add-ins for, to change the workflow or even automate certain workflows, we could do that.”

But it was the partnership that sealed the deal. From the first demo to ongoing support, the accessibility of the Cloudbeds team was a game-changer. “A big selling point was that Cloudbeds has a strong presence in Thailand and a very helpful service team. It’s very easy to contact them and get help right away.”

This blend of powerful technology and dedicated support gave them the confidence to make the switch.

Faster growth. Smarter operations. Stronger margins.

The impact of moving to Cloudbeds was immediate. Onboarding new properties — once a major growth blocker — now takes just one to two weeks, enabling a lean, scalable operating model.

Its cloud-based platform and intuitive design transformed how teams work day to day. Staff can check in guests across multiple properties from anywhere with ease, staying efficient and responsive — even with a fully remote workforce.

Integrated payments dramatically reduced revenue leakage, cutting no-show charges and chargebacks by up to 90%.

And with real-time insights — from daily pickup to nationality reports — the team now makes smarter decisions, spots demand shifts earlier, and explores new markets with confidence.

A solid foundation

Starting with just a handful of city hotels, Arawana Group has grown into one of Thailand’s most promising mid-scale hospitality players.

Its strategic partnership with Cloudbeds plays a key role in that success — streamlining operations, centralizing bookings, and empowering the team to manage multiple properties with ease. Cloudbeds’ intuitive system allows Arawana to stay agile, make data-driven decisions, and maintain the high service standards guests love.

Today, Arawana Group stands as a symbol of smart growth — expanding its presence while keeping its focus on value, technology, and heartfelt hospitality.

Asked whether they would recommend Cloudbeds, Manmeet respond:
“Yes. When you look at the value, ease of use, and integrations, it’s an easy recommendation for any hotel or group.”
