Nestled among the majesty and solitude of the hundred-million-year-old sandstone cliffs and boulders of Utah, Bluff Dwellings Resort transports you into the unique cultural past of the Four Corners region.
Intricately designed to look like ruins among the sandstone cliffs and boasting a spa and an on-site restaurant offering local dishes with Native American touches, it’s the perfect spot for travelers planning on visiting Grand Circle national parks, monuments, and attractions.
When it came to choosing a hospitality platform, Dallin Tait, Co-founder and General Manager, wasn’t sure if Cloudbeds would keep up with their vision of rapid growth, but it worked extremely well. He shares, “Just in the last few years I feel like technology has come to a spot where boutique hotels can compete with franchises that before would have been really difficult”.
Besides being easy to teach to staff, Cloudbeds helps make the online booking process smooth and seamless. And the results speak for themselves, “right now we’re driving about 65% direct bookings,” remarks Dallin.
Cloudbeds has also helped Bluff Dwellings significantly improve guest communication thanks to Whistle for Cloudbeds. Dallin explains, “It allows us to text all our guests. And I always have a lot of guests that don’t reply to emails or that don’t like to answer phone calls, but they’ll text us.” He continues, “We have a 24-hour front desk and they’re able to communicate with guests really effectively that way.”
Additionally, the team at Bluff Dwellings has implemented an integration with Flexkeeping to help manage their housekeeping and maintenance digitally, allowing them to operate more efficiently. They’ve also adopted AI-powered revenue management to manage their rates and earn more revenue, as Dallin describes it,
Being cloud-based, Cloudbeds has also allowed Dallin to spend more time at home with his family. As he puts it,
With an on-site wastewater treatment plant that helps water all the property’s vegetation, a commitment to employing members of the local community, and a concerted effort towards honoring the cultures of the past, the team at Bluff Dwellings certainly cares about the community and environment.
It’s no wonder then that, as Dallin puts it, “A lot of people, once they discover it, just keep coming back year after year.”
