Booked Rev, a boutique “revenue multiplication” consultancy for independent properties, is the result of a lifetime spent in hospitality and a clear-eyed understanding of what independent operators actually need to grow.

Founded by Jason Conway, Booked Rev helps independent hotels and resorts multiply revenue through smarter distribution, pricing, and merchandising — bringing together revenue strategy, connectivity, guest marketing, and best-in-class technology to turn unsold nights into measurable growth. Jason was quite literally raised in hospitality, growing up behind the front desk of a family-run resort in the Ozarks, where he learned that great operations are equal parts discipline and care.

Today, that foundation shows up in how Booked Rev works: hands-on, deeply invested in each client’s success, and focused on giving independent properties the tools, clarity, and confidence to compete at a higher level, without losing what makes them independent in the first place.

A relationship started on a country road

While driving between sales calls, Jason came across a distinctive property at the end of a long country road. He introduced himself, asked for a walk-through, and struck up a conversation with the owner — who would go on to become a long-term client.

He quickly noticed Beaver Lakefront Cabins operating on technology that was holding them back, explained that the property needed to be brought up to today’s standards, and suggested Cloudbeds.

“Best-in-class” software

Having spent his entire life in hospitality, Jason’s perspective on Cloudbeds isn’t shaped by marketing claims, it’s shaped by lived comparison. As he puts it, “Cloudbeds, by far — no competition — is the best in the industry. Not only best-in-class software and functionality, but the people are what make the huge difference.”

He continues, “It doesn’t feel like I’m jumping between different pieces of software. It feels like one single ecosystem, and I love that.”

For him, the booking engine actually converts lookers into bookers, while self-serve distribution and content management make it easy to control rates, inventory, restrictions, and even images and descriptions from one place.

A lot of PMSs say they help you drive direct bookings. Cloudbeds is the only solution I’ve seen, in the real world, actually do it.

Cloudbeds Guest Marketing CRM tools help shift bookings from third-party channels to direct through campaigns like OTA winback, putting control back in the hotelier’s hands. “Within an hour, I can set up an email campaign, a rate plan with a promo code, deploy it, and instantly see analytics and revenue reporting,” He explains.

Add Cloudbeds Payments, designed around hospitality cashflow, not generic banking — and support that’s fast, clear, and genuinely responsive, and the experience feels less like managing software and more like running a smarter business.

Performance you can measure

Beaver Lakefront Cabins went live with Cloudbeds in July 2025, right in peak season after the operator delayed implementation out of understandable caution. But even with that late go-live, the turnaround in performance was immediate in the back half of the year.

From January to July 2025, revenue fell by $102,000 year over year — a 13% decline driven by 150 fewer room nights (–6%) and an average daily rate that dropped by $21, or roughly 7%. Like many leisure properties that year, performance was slipping, and the numbers showed it.

After Cloudbeds went live in July, the trajectory shifted. From August through December 2025, the property posted a 10% year-over-year increase in revenue, alongside a 4% lift in room nights and a 6% increase in ADR.

In just a few months, the business moved from decline to growth, turning the second half of the year into a measurable recovery. “Between August and December, we turned it totally around,” explains Jason. He continues, “Cloudbeds has completely changed the business.”

Onboarding that doesn’t abandon you

Jason has seen onboarding across the industry — often expensive, slow, and hands-off. Cloudbeds was the opposite.

Beaver Lakefront Cabins was assigned a dedicated Onboarding Coach who met with the team at least once a week, and moved faster whenever the operator was ready.

The process started with deep discovery into how the property actually runs, recognizing that no two operations are the same. Questions were answered the same day, not the following week, and every step of setup was focused on maximizing the business — not just checking boxes to get live.

“Cloudbeds delivers five-star onboarding experiences—best by far I’ve ever been involved with.”

What every independent hotelier needs to hear

Jason’s advice to other hoteliers is blunt, in the best way: choose technology that’s easy to use without needing a specialist, insist on an all-in-one platform instead of clunky bolt-ons, and invest in tools that actually help you drive direct bookings, not just talk about it. Most importantly, partner with a company whose people still show up after the contract is signed.

“This isn’t just about software. In some cases, this is about impacting the rest of someone’s life.” He continues, “Cloudbeds is truly the first PMS that said, ‘We’ll help you increase revenue.’ And it has.”
