Asa Firestone is the CEO and Co-Founder of A-Lodge, an adventure hotel brand he co-founded in 2008 with Kris Klauber through the acquisition of the Boulder Mountain Lodge in Boulder, Colorado. An avid rock climber, entrepreneur, and community leader, Asa built A-Lodge around a vision of seamlessly integrating hotel comforts with the rugged spirit of outdoor adventure — creating a haven for climbers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts in the Rocky Mountains. The brand has since expanded to a second location in Lyons, Colorado. With a background in sustainable development and adventure sports, Asa is deeply invested in the communities surrounding his properties and is known for his mission-driven approach to hospitality entrepreneurship.

We started in December first twenty fourteen with this adventure lodging concept, and we didn’t go out and get investment money. We stayed as a privately owned family business. And there are moments where I wonder if that was the right move or not.
