Dr. Stowe Shoemaker is one of hospitality's most decorated academics, holding a Ph.D. from Cornell University and a distinguished career spanning research, teaching, and administration at leading hospitality schools including UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, where he served as Dean. A prolific author and researcher, Dr. Shoemaker is widely recognized for his contributions to loyalty marketing, consumer behavior, and casino hospitality. His work has shaped hospitality education for decades, and he continues to bridge the gap between academic research and practical industry application through consulting and writing, including his book Hospitable Healthcare.

The hospitality industry is a business, so we should just teach all business and have some examples of hospitality. And I think that’s a huge huge huge mistake. And the reason is that at the end of the day, the hospitality industry is all about creating incredible guest experience.
