Gracefully blending into the Mayan Jungle ecosystem, Alma Maya is a luxury boutique hotel offering 11 rooms – in the form of unique domes and bubbles – that provide its guests with the perfect blend of nature, comfort, and technology.

β€œWe took what we liked from glamping and from the hotel side and we mixed it up,” explains managing partner Sauveur Lichan.

This means that guests can experience the transformative power of sleeping under the stars and feeling more connected to nature, while still living luxuriously. β€œWe want to make sure our guests feel comfortable in the heart of the Mayan jungle. All of our rooms are fully equipped, we have good king and queen-sized beds, water, and wifi – everything guests need to come here and have a great time in the middle of the jungle and to experience something different,” adds Antoine Dahdah, managing partner.

Sustainability is also a core component of Alma Maya. The team has implemented a number of sustainability initiatives, from reusing uprooted trees for landscaping, mulching, and natural fencing, to using solar energy and having an on-site vegetable garden that supplies the restaurant with fresh, farm-to-table produce.
