Siloed systems hindered growth

Flor Parks is located on Barcelona’s iconic Las Ramblas, just a short walk to the ocean. This family-owned, 26-room hotel is a favorite for guests looking to stay right in the city center, offering free wifi and a beautiful rooftop terrace.

Until 2021, Flor Parks relied on an on-premise property management system (PMS) with a separate channel manager and booking engine. Staff was required to manually input data into each system, leaving lots of room for errors. These siloed systems limited the hotel’s operational efficiency and hindered its ability to grow. 

“With our server-based PMS, everything was disconnected and not in sync,” says Victor.

A move to the cloud backed by personalized support

Flor Parks knew that it needed to upgrade its technology stack to drive the business forward. After deciding to move forward with Cloudbeds, Flor Parks was assigned a dedicated Onboarding Coach to help get them up and running seamlessly. They were live within a few months and continued to work closely with their coach to understand and leverage the system’s full capabilities. To ensure every member of the Flor Parks team felt comfortable using the system, the hotel staff has access to Cloudbeds University and its extensive library of training videos. While Victor admitted to a learning curve for some of the older team, Cloudbeds’ resources and easy-to-use interface won them over.

Integrations brought more direct bookings

Cloudbeds’ direct integration with Google Free Listings has been a game-changer for Flor Parks. Thanks to this integration, up to 11% of their monthly bookings now come directly from Google. To manage these bookings, and other online activity, Flor Parks uses its commission-free booking engine to convert online visitors and manage bookings from one place. 

Flor Parks delivers amazing guest experiences which is evident by their 8.7 rating on Booking.com. Since switching to Cloudbeds, they have been able to drive more reviews on Google, boosting their credibility with potential guests. In just three months, Flor Parks has received 50 new guest reviews on Google, a 17% increase from before!

This is just the beginning for Victor and his team, this year they plan to update their website design to provide a more seamless guest experience and focus their strategy on driving direct bookings.
