INDUSTRY TRENDS

20 Hotel conferences and tradeshows to attend in 2022

By Nicole Bayer

With COVID worries and restrictions receding, hoteliers from all corners of the industry – owners, operators, brands, technology providers, etc. – are once again looking forward to meeting in person. As we all try to make up for lost time and plan as many face-to-face meetings as possible, 2022 should shape up to be a busy year for industry tradeshows and conferences.

At hospitality tradeshows in 2022, expect to see new technology that surfaced over the pandemic aimed at helping hoteliers reduce their physical face-to-face contact with guests, as well as solutions to help hoteliers tackle a challenging labor market through automation.

Why attend hospitality events?

Because travelers’ wants and needs are always changing, the hospitality industry is constantly evolving. Whether you’re in marketing, sales, or operations, it’s imperative for hoteliers to continuously learn about best practices for operating more efficiently and meeting new guest demands.

At speaking events, industry professionals will share best practices, tips, and strategies that you can take away and implement in your own business. At tradeshows, you can browse hundreds of booths offering cutting-edge technology and find the right solutions that match the needs of your specific business.

Networking is a critical part of both improving your business and furthering your career. Exchanging business cards or email addresses at an event can help build connections that eventually turn into business wins or lasting peer relationships. At hospitality-specific events, you can:

  • Find new business, new partnerships, and growth opportunities
  • Learn about the latest technology and the latest industry trends
  • Meet exhibitors and vendors for face-to-face communications
  • Attend educational sessions for best practices and useful takeaways
