Every cash management software system in France must adhere to and be certified to the NF 525 standards. The high-level requirements to meet this certification are:
- Condition of inalterability: the software used must make it possible to record all data relating to regulations without them being able to be altered.
- Security condition: the software must be able to secure the original data, any possible modifications, and supporting documents.
- Retention condition: the software must record and close the data over a given period.
- Archiving condition: the software must provide for an archiving period where the data is frozen and dated with a technical device guaranteeing the integrity of the information.
