Fiscalization receipts

Fiscalization is a procedure used by the tax administration (Porezna uprava) in Croatia to monitor cash transactions and the value-added tax (PDV) calculation of a business. When a company issues an invoice to its customer, it is sent electronically to the central information center (CIS) of Porezna uprava. CIS generates and assigns a unique code to each received invoice. This code is called a JIR code (jedinstveni identifikator računa), and it uniquely identifies an invoice, along with a security code of the issuer (ZKI number). See the official website for more details: https://www.fina.hr/en/homepage

Guest reporting

Visitors to Croatia are required by law to be registered with the local police within 24 hours of arrival. Properties should submit this information to the Croatian authorities’ eVisitor site (details found here).
