Guest reporting

Accommodations in Swiss areas must perform several administrative tasks related to customer’s personal data. They have to submit reports to legal authority offices such as the Federal Statistical Office, the police, the Tourist Tax Collection Center, and the Tourism Observatory. In summary, customer data is collected multiple times but never in the same way or for the same entities. Statistical reporting

In terms of statistics, accommodations need to submit information to the Federal Office of Tourism (Bundesamt Fur Turistik) under a specific file type (HESTA).
